Feature Descriptions

Anonymous Call Rejection - allows a Caller ID end-user to reject incoming calls marked private or anonymous. Calls marked private or anonymous calls are those calls on which per call or permanent per line blocking has been activated in order to prevent name and telephone number information from passing to the called party.
To activate Anonymous Call Rejection, Press *77 (1177 for rotary telephones).
To deactivate Anonymous Call Rejection, Press *87 (1187 for rotary telephones).

Caller ID – With a compatible telephone or stand-alone device the Caller ID feature displays the phone number and, if available, the name of the incoming caller.

Caller ID Blocking Line - Caller ID Blocking prevents the originating telephone number from being delivered. It does not block information from being forwarded when calling 911, 800 (Toll Free) numbers or 900 numbers. The words "Private" or "Anonymous" appear on the display unit or telephone set display screen.
To "deactivate" on a per call basis dial *82 prior to your call.

Caller ID Blocking per call - To activate Caller ID Blocking Per Call: Dial *67 from a touchtone phone or 1167 from a rotary telephone. End-users will hear a short stutter dial tone followed by a second dial tone.
Dial the distant telephone number.
A "privacy message" is displayed to a Caller ID subscriber for that call only.

Call Waiting – Gives a brief tone alert that another caller is on the line. To answer, simply depress the switch hook briefly to connect with the waiting caller or, end the first call and the phone will ring with the call waiting caller on the line. Depressing the switch hook alternates between the callers. You may alternately use the “flash” button on your phone instead of depressing the switch hook.

3-Way Calling – This feature allows for a third party to be added to a conversation. While on a call, briefly depress the switch hook/flash key, the current caller will be place on hold, three distinct tones will be heard. At this point another number may be dialed. When the person at this number answers, you may talk privately with them before completing the three-way call. Depress the switch hook/flash key to bring all three parties on the line. You may disconnect the third party by depressing the switch hook/flash button. The call ends when the person originating the third party call disconnects.

Call Forwarding – Allows calls to be forwarded to a different telephone number. Outgoing calls can still be placed while this feature is in effect. A short ring will be heard before the call is forwarded to the specified number. To activate this feature dial *72 (72, rotary phone), listen for a second dial tone, and then dial the call forwarding number. If the called number answers and stays on the line for at least 5 seconds, call forwarding is activated. To check that the activation was successful, dial *72 and a busy signal or error message should be heard. To deactivate, dial *73. Two quick tones will be heard confirming that the forwarding feature has been deactivated.

Voice Mail – Dial the access number to your Voice Mail. Press the # key while the greeting is playing. Enter default password. You will then be prompted to set up your voice mailbox. You will be asked to enter a new pin number.

Press 2        SAVE message
Press 5        ERASE message
Press 4        BACK UP 10 seconds
Press 44     REPLAY message
Press 6        SKIP FORWARD 10 seconds
Press 87     Turn ON/OFF Time Stamp
Press *1*4   RECOVER ERASED message

Message Indicator – Indicates that a message is waiting in your voice mailbox by visual and/or audible indicator. When the phone is picked up a stuttered dial tone notifies a message is waiting and on compatible phones a message-waiting lamp is lit.

LD Alert – Works with call waiting. A special beep tone is heard when a long distance call is coming in. The special alert is a Long/Short/Long beep tone.

Speed Call 30 – Allows up to 30 numbers to be programmed as speed call numbers. Dial *75, assign a 2-digit code (20-49) to the number, enter the phone number (include 1+area code for a long distance number), repeat the above for all numbers to be programmed. To change a number, repeat the above process. To call using the speed call feature, dial the 2 digit code followed by the # sign.

Line Assurance – This covers the inside wiring at your home. Line Assurance is active only after the line has been installed and is working properly, and the first bill has been paid. Line Assurance will only apply to an account that is not in a past due status.
